It is startlingly easy to lapse into epigrams. For instance: "Death is easy; dying, less so."

But that's not what this is about. It's about telling a story, which is worlds more difficult.

There's a Sappho fragment that does it in three words: "You burn me." But the rest of the parchment would lend specificity--"You jerk! That's our last giraffe," works better in the long run, for instance.
